Family law services cannot be handled with a one-size-fits-all approach. Different people have different needs based on their unique situations.
If you want a more hands-on approach, I can provide full representation throughout your case to help address potentially complex property and support issues, and/or delicate issues involving parenting their children. Whenever possible, I work to achieve settlement through direct negotiation with opposing counsel and through meetings between the attorneys and their clients.
Consider “A La Carte Services”
As an alternative to full legal representation, I can provide assistance with some parts of your case while you remain responsible for the rest of the case. This option is commonly referred to as “unbundled services” or “limited scope representation.” This “a la carte” approach to legal services is designed to give the client the level of services he or she needs. For example, if you are going through an amicable divorce and just want to ensure your paperwork is completed properly, I can be available for consulting services, reviewing drafts of documents, drafting documents, or any combination of these services. With this approach we will agree to limit the scope of my attorney involvement to specific tasks and you will then be responsible for everything else. This can be much more cost effective than traditional representation. But there are disadvantages as well, which we can discuss in a consultation or phone call.
Unbundled service isn’t always the right approach for every case or client. I will help you evaluate all of your options to help you find the right fit for your unique situation.
With extensive experience as a family law attorney, I have seen the financial and emotional burdens placed on families—especially children—when these matters become contentious and end up in court.
My approach to family law is to seek to avoid these contentious situations by providing a variety of methods and ample opportunities for families in transition to work out their issues amicably to achieve reasonable, out-of-court agreements.
